Established in 1963, Safari is Durban's original Bay of Plenty surf shop. Through our network of distributors and direct deliveries of custom boards world-wide, Safari is pioneering the development of a unique customer experience incorporating the entire order / make / delivery process. Underlying all this is a customer satisfaction promise second to none.

A stock board at the correct length will deliver the goods for most surfers. Custom shapes are for those who know their boards well and want to step it up a level or two, as well as for the regular surfer who simply wants the satisfaction that their board was built especially for them. As for sprays, we can personalize a board with any design, photograph or image.

We currently use the Postal Service for cost-effectively delivering boards under 6'7 to most countries with a delivery time of 7-10 days. We also use DHL, other courier services and airlines for deliveries worldwide.

We blow our own blanks under the RSAblanks label. Our chemical, equipment, and process quality standards are high, and the feedback from our customers is that our boards feel "alive" and glass exceptionally light.

We have our own KKL computer milling machine at our factory premises in Durban, allowing us to make each and every board to exact specifications. Our highly trained and tightly supervised in-house glassing/sanding teams as well as our RSAblanks foam plant are in the same building, the result of all integrating these operations is immediate feedback and resolution of any issues arising. We are unique in that no other surfboard manufacturer anywhere in the world incorporates the entire surfboard manufacturing process in this way.

The size and shape of your board depends upon many factors, amongst them your weight, height, shoe size, age, years experience, surfing style, wave size and break type. Our shapers and experienced shop staff distill all this information and use it to craft your magic board.

Easy question......, the one that puts the biggest smile on your face! Seriously though, we are experienced at selecting the specific board to put the stoke back into your surfing. Email, Skype or call us!

We can deliver your custom ordered board anywhere in the world in less time than some local shapers will take to answer your email, though that is more of an indictment on them than it is a credit to us. Ruthless execution and attention to detail in the manufacture of each and every board is what we excel at, and the result is a production time of 5-10 days from order confirmation. Delivery is instant if collected from our shop, if shipped worldwide add another 5-10 days.

Fees In return for the products and services Safari Surf offers you through the Site, certain fees are payable from time to time, such as the licence fee for images downloaded from the Site ("Fees").

Fees will be charged in advance when you purchase a product through the Site and cover the use of that product as indicated in the corresponding licence.

You undertake to pay any and all such Fees at the prevailing rates prescribed by Safari Surf timeously and in full, without set-off or deduction for any reason whatsoever. Furthermore, you agree not to take any steps to circumvent your liability for payment of any such Fees.

Our data servers for billing data are encrypted and PCI compliant and transmissions are encrypted.

The Site may include interactive areas or services, including, without limitation, blogs, discussion forums, chat rooms, bulletin boards, message boards, online hosting or storage services, intranets or extranets or other areas or services in which you, registered Site members or third parties create, post or store any information, content, messages, comments, materials or other items on the Site ("Interactive Areas"). Any dispute relating in any way to your use of the Site or the Safari Surf Content shall be submitted to confidential arbitration to be held in Sandton under the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (or its successor in title), to which arbitration you hereby consent; except that, to the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate Safari Surf' intellectual property rights, Safari Surf may seek interdictory, injunctive or other appropriate relief in any applicable court in the Republic of South Africa, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts. The arbitrator's award shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement shall be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to the Site Terms, whether through class arbitration proceedings or otherwise.

Notwithstanding any of these Site Terms, Safari Surf reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate your account and/or to restrict or block your use of the Site

Failure or neglect by Safari Surf to enforce at any time any of the provisions of the Site Terms shall not be construed as a waiver of its rights. Any waiver of any provision of the Site Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by Safari Surf. If any clause in these Site Terms is found to be unenforceable, wherever possible this will not affect any other clause and each will remain in full force and effect.
